چکیده

Abstract Costs of production and organic price premiums are defining factors influencing the economic viability crop systems. Different agronomic practices, such as rotation tillage intensity, known to affect performance The aim this study was compare impact two sequences (simplified diversified) levels intensity (high low) on cost production, gross return margin crops when grown under management in semi-arid Brown soil zone Canadian Prairies. 2-year simplified sequence consisted forage pea ( Pisum sativum L.) a green manure followed by hard red spring wheat (HRSW) Triticum aestivum L.), while 4-year diversified flax Linum usitatissimum or yellow mustard Sinapis alba field lentil Lens culinaris HRSW. Our hypothesis that more would increase profitability over traditional supported findings. However, findings did not support our reducing combination reduction through synergetic response, further enhance profitability. Analysis breakeven prices yields for indicated importance adopting rotations choosing with high means maximize long-term cropping

Crop Yield and Plant Density under Diff erent Tillage Systems

To determine the optimal ploughing depth and to make tillage simpler and less costly, but also taking account of edaphic and climatic conditions as well as biological and agrotechnical requirements of crops grown, long-term investigations (1994-2009) have been carried out on Stagnic Luvisol of sloping terrains in central Croatia near Daruvar. Th e paper presents the results relating to plant de...

Depth Distribution of Rotylenchulus reniformis Under Different Tillage and Crop Sequence Systems.

ABSTRACT The population density of the reniform nematode, Rotylenchulus reniformis, was monitored at depths of 0 to 30, 30 to 60, 60 to 90, and 90 to 120 cm in a tillage and crop sequence trial in south Texas in 2000 and 2001. Main plots were subjected to three different tillage systems: conventional tillage (moldboard plowing and disking), ridge tillage, and no-tillage. Subplots were planted w...

Bacterial Diversity Under Different Tillage and Crop Rotation Systems in an Oxisol of Southern Brazil

Microbial diversity can be used to assess the impact of agricultural practices on the long-term sustainability of cropping systems. The aim of this study was to investigate changes in soil bacterial diversity as a result of the impact of different soil tillage and crop rotation systems in an oxisol of southern Brazil. Bacterial diversity was examined in the 010 cm layer in two field experiments...
